Description
MAP 12-61 – water-soluble monoammonium phosphate
🔰 Main areas of application for MAP 12-61:
- Fertiliser for fertigation, hydroponics and drip irrigation
- Main source of phosphorus in agriculture
- For foliar feeding of vegetable, fruit and berry crops and ornamental plants
- Main component in the production of NPK fertilisers
- pH level correction in plant nutrition systems
- Use in horticulture, greenhouse farming and vertical farming
✅ Advantages of MAP 12-61:
- High degree of purity, low content of heavy metals and toxic impurities
- Complete water solubility — provides instant supply of nitrogen and phosphorus
- The acidic pH of the solution promotes better phosphorus absorption in neutral and alkaline soils
- Compatible with all irrigation systems: drip, sprinklers, NFT, centralised irrigation lines
- Optimal fertiliser for the early stages of growth: root system development, bud formation
Common mistakes when using MAP 12-61 and how to avoid them:
- Incompatibility with calcium and magnesium salts: MAP + Ca(NO₃)₂ or MgSO₄ → precipitation, system blockage.
Solution: apply at intervals of 1–2 days or use separate tanks (A/B). - Application to cold or dry soil: At t < 8 °C, phosphorus is unavailable.
Solution: use at temperatures >10 °C and in a moist environment. - Use of hard or alkaline water without pH adjustment: pH > 7.5 → phosphorus precipitates.
Solution: maintain the pH of the solution within 5.5–6.5; add phosphoric or citric acid if necessary. - Ignoring plant norms and needs:
Solution: determine the dosage based on agrochemical soil analysis and growth phases (4–6 leaves, beginning of flowering). - Incorrect mixing in tank mixtures: Adding MAP after other preparations → crystallisation, precipitation, flocculation.
Solution: dissolve MAP first, then other components. - Application without taking into account the irrigation regime: Possible leaching or local moisture deficiency.
Solution: apply MAP at the final stage of irrigation so that the fertiliser remains in the root zone. - Failure to follow the application schedule:
Solution: follow the recommendations for the vegetation phases, alternate with other fertilisers.
